EZNOS 2, FTP/WEB Server

      After speaking to Wim Knevel of EZ-NOS and realizing that the EZ-NOS distro was something they had just found on the internet and no real development was put into it and with the permission of Wim, we at DOS Solutions took over the development of EZ-NOS, about two years ago. Based on the last development of JNOS-111f. We rewrote some of the code and recompiled EZ-NOS to have all the bells and whistles you would expect, to make it a reliable, stable and secure DOS based FTP/WEB Server.
Features including:

• Secure FTP Server with md5 authenication.
• HTTP, Web Server, with GET/POST, Side Server Includes, builtin counter and Secure Password Sub-folders.
• DNS Client, with DNS Server for stand alone systems.
• TCP/IP access filter based on IP Address, Network Addresses and Ports (firewall).
• Remote Adminstration and Notification via FTP and Email.
• Will work with any IBM Clone computer from 8086 through to a full Pentium.
• Memory Management EMS/XMS.
• Multitasking when shelling out to DOS.
• Complete Readme, Examples and Templates.

EZNOS has had the -p switch added to use md5 encryption for passwords in the ftpusers file. read the readme file in the eznos2.zip archive for further details.

    29/7/06 A utility to convert, ordinary ,standard *nix, Lan Workplace and Waterloo TCP hosts[file] to domain.txt. Trust me this will save you time and typing. Host2dom.zip

   After much toil, I've finally got both the bootp server and client working properly. The server [bootpd] been running without error for the past 8 months, and has been tested against Clarkson(rugters) TCP, Lan Workplace for DOS ©, KA9Q/EZNOS/JNOS, Trumpet TCP and Waterloo TCP.
   The client [bootp], has taken me almost a year on and off, of pissing about to get it working properly and is now rfc1048 complient. Tested the last 2 months, on 3 versions of Internet Systems Consortium DHCPd server, EZNOS and the DHCPd server incorporated in TFTPD32. The client has also had a few extra tags added for DHCPd servers, Domain and Broadcast. Althought the client resolved the broadcast, by assigned IP Address/Netmask. Not all networks use the default broadcast, in which case I thought this was a worthy addition.
ezbootp.zip is the EZNOS 386 version with both bootp server and client, included examples of autoexec.nos for both server and client, bootptab configuration file and nos.cfg with the bootpd server files.

    10/05/07 The source code for EZNOS, ez_src.zip . Do me one favour, at least read the readthis.txt in the DOC directory.
