Almost everything we touch today has some sort of computer
chip in it. From the shop floor in industry to our washing machines. During
Christmas I went over to my local pub. A mate of mine went to turn on the jukebox
and called me over and said you'll like this. As it booted to my surprize this
networked jukebox booted MSDOS (can't remeber which version). After it booted and I
looked at the screen, you could see it was obviously DOS graphics.
So, to start off this section on Embedded DOS Solutions I've got
some links to sites that deal embedded DOS, from the OS itself to networking
software.
rxDOS a very
fast multithread OS for DOS in C.
RT Kernel

Thinclient are a way to remote boot a computer from a central server
making updates, management and security as-easy-as fudge. Based around DHCP
(Dynamic Host Control Protocol) and TFTP (Trival File Transport Protocol).
In the months running up Christmas I was working on some ThinClient
architecture. Basiclly Thinclients use two types of OS Linux and DOS. There are a few
links to get you started.
